Abstract
Inelastic scattering to the first excited states in and has been measured at MeV and analyzed in a microscopic model. Strong evidence for the need of including hole components in the wave functions of the lowest states was found. Deduced matrix elements are in surprisingly good agreement with results from electron scattering.
