An apparatus is described and illustrated which enables the direct assay of 14C in dried and, ground plant material. The effect of five factors upon the measurement of the 14C·content of the powder are discussed. It is concluded that this technique provides an efficient, accurate. and rapid method for the assay of lAC in plant materials.
