Abstract
Extracts from the tumours of three patients with oncogenic osteomalacia stimulated renal adenylate cyclase in a parathyroid hormone (PTH) responsive system. The stimulation was suppressed by a specific PTH antagonist. These observations suggest that osteomalacia-producing tumours exert some of their effects through PTH-like material acting on PTH receptors. This publication has 30 references indexed in Scilit:
