Some Species of Lambertella from India

Abstract
Two new spp., Lambertella himalayensis and L. aurantiaca, and a new var., L. viburni var. fructicola are described. L. himalayensis, occurring on dead twigs or Quercus leucotrlchophora and 2 other unidentified herbaceoes plants, has 4-spored asci, dimorphic ascospores, and narrow ellipsoidal to subcylindric spermatia. L, aurantiaca has bright yellowish-orange apothecia occuring on petioles and veins of Madhuca (Basaia) latifolia and Mangifera indica. The fungus procuces abundant yellow to deep violet spermodochia on PDA and the ascospores become almost completely rounded with an unevenly thickened epispore at the time of germination. L. viburni var. fructicola, occurtog on fallen fruits of Viburnum atellatum and Rosa macrophylla, has long-stiped apothecia and regularly uniseriate ascospores which turn brown while still in the asci.
