Abstract
Classical trajectories for the linear collision of an H atom and an H2 molecule and their isotopic substitutions have been calculated as a function of energy with the molecule having the zero‐point vibrational energy. Probabilities of reaction are calculated by averaging over the vibrational phases during collision. These results are compared with recently reported quantum‐mechanical calculations for the same systems. Keywords
