A tabulation is given of the line broadening function H ( a, υ ) used in obtaining the line absorption coefficient l ν in stellar atmospheric absorption calculations. The tabulation is more extensive than previously available and covers the range 0 ≼ a ≼ 1 and 0 ≼ υ ≼ 22. The error in this tabulation is not greater than 2 in the sixth figure. Methods of calculation and means whereby the accuracy can be checked are discussed. A list of least square polynomial coefficients, where H ( a, υ ) has been polynomialized in a , are also given for calculation of the function at intermediate a -values. These are given at sufficiently closely spaced values of υ to enable interpolation between these values to produce the function accurately at intermediate values of a and υ .
