An apparatus for internal friction and modulus defect measurements during low temperature electron irradiation

Abstract
An apparatus is described for measuring internal friction and elasticity modulus during low temperature electron irradiation. This cryostat is well adapted for dislocation pinning experiments. Its main advantages are: facility of isochronal thermal pulses, homogeneity of the point defect density created during irradiation, good evaluation of the mechanical deformation in the specimen.
