Abstract
Nuclear spin-spin coupling constants 1J (31P-117Sn) and 1J (31P-119Sn) are reported for trimethylstannyl phosphines of the type [(CH3)3Sn]3_nPRn (R = H, tC4H9, C6H5, Si(CH3)3, Ge(CH3)3; n = 0, 1, 2, 3) and for some transition metal carbonyl complexes having these phosphines as ligands. It is possible to calculate the value of1J (P-Sn) by the empirical method of increments, if there is a large number of similar compounds.
