Abstract
Tritium-labelled β-glycyrrhetic acid was prepared and administered orally, subdermally and intraperitoneally to male and female rats. Most of the radioactivity was excreted in the faeces, only traces being found in the urine. Administered to rats with biliary cannulae most of the radioactivity was excreted in the bile. Three metabolites of β-glycyrrhetic acid have been detected in the bile, but these have not yet been identified. Keywords
