Cross-Reactivity between Human Thymus and Mouse Lymphoid Tissues, as Revealed by Rabbit Antiserum Against Human Brain

Abstract

Rabbit anti-human brain antisera were found cytotoxic for mouse thymus, lymph node, and spleen cells. Absorption with human thymus cells removed some of the cytotoxic antibodies. Cross-reactions were also detected among human brain and thymus and mouse brain, liver, and erythrocytes.
