Search for Particles with Fractional Charge>~43ein Cosmic Rays

Abstract

The flux of relativistic particles with a charge $>~\frac{4}{3}e$ was measured in cosmic rays at sea level using a scintillation counter hodoscope. An upper limit equal to 1.3×${10}^{-10\mathrm{}}$ ${\mathrm{cm}}^{-2\mathrm{}}$ ${\mathrm{sr}}^{-1\mathrm{}}$ ${\sec }^{-1\mathrm{}}$ was established at 90% confidence level.
