Abstract
A new and sensitive colorimetric method for serum trypsin determination has been described. The specific substrate, α-N-benzoyl-l-lysine hydrazide was found to be rapidly hydrolyzed by trypsin and the liberated hydrazine was determined colorimetrically by means of Ehrlich's reagent. The sensitivity coupled with the relative ease of the technical procedure provides a suitable routine assay for serum trypsin. Keywords
