Abstract
It is shown how systematic application of Laplace transform methods enables calculation of the neutron collision density in a nonabsorbing medium not only for large values of the lethargy but also for small lethargy values corresponding to small numbers of collisions. As a result, it is not necessary to solve the differential equations for the collision density between collisions. Keywords
