Abstract
In 10,000 liters of human urine, porphyrins were isolated by adsorption of infusorial earth. Koproporphyrin I-tetramethylester and koproporphyrin III-tetramethylester were obtained. showing that both isomeric koproporphyrins were present in normal urine in approximately equal amts. Neither proto- nor uroporphyrin was found.
