Corticospinal Connections: Postnatal Development in the Rhesus Monkey

Abstract
The spinal distribution of the corticospinal fibers was studied experimentally in infant rhesus monkeys (Macaca mulatta) by means of the NautaGygax silver impregnation technique. The findings suggest that the bulk of the direct cortico-motoneuronal connections in the rhesus monkey are established postnatally, during at least the first 8 months of life.Keywords
