Abstract
The experimental results for the impact behaviour of glass reinforced reac tion injection moulded Nylon 6 beam specimens are reported. The specimens were sub jected to loads in an instrumented impact rig and a number of empirical relations and observations were obtained that relate the deformation of a specimen to the impact energy, percentage glass reinforcement and temperature. In addition, a number of micro- mechanistic features were observed for the fracture process of the specimens. Keywords
