Abstract
Assay of preparations of whole thyroid gland of which the thyroxin or so-called active I (the acid-insoluble fraction) had been determined showed that the calorigenic action of whole thyroid gland depends upon its total organic I not upon its thyroxin I content. The assays were conducted in cases of full-blown, spontaneous myxedema. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
