Baccalaureate nursing students in the program presented are provided an opportunity for a “hands on” experience in clinical nursing research. Using change theory framework, the development of this successful teaching strategy is examined. As is often typical of change, hindsight is a valuable teacher, and other nursing programs may benefit from this experience with the process and the resulting outcomes. Implications for future directions are suggested.
