Abstract
With the aid of gel filtration through Sephadex columns G-100 and G-200, two different enzyme fractions capable of hydrolyzing gelatin and hemoglobin were obtained from dental plaques. These two fractions were obtained from plaques taken from either one person or pooled from several persons. The enzymes had different molecular weights and different pH maxima. One of the enzymes was obtained in relatively pure form; its activity was enhanced by calcium. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
