Abstract
A metabolism experiment in which the fate of N-methylhexahydropyridinepropan-2-diethyl-l,3-dioxyureide (1) (obtained by conjugation of piperidine and veronal in the presence of formaldehyde) was studied in the dog. From the urine, [delta]-methylaminovalerianic acid (2) was separated which S. believes arises by cleavage of methylpiperidine from (1) and its oxidation to (2).
