Synthesis of stable monomeric metaphosphonimidates, aryl(oxo, thioxo-, or selenoxo-)iminophosphoranes

Abstract

The title compounds ArP(X)NBu^t(Ar = 2,4,6,-Bu^t ₃c₆H₂; x = O, S, or Se), the first examples of sterically protected stable metaphosphonimidates, have been synthesized in good yield by the reaction of the iminophosphine ArPNBu^t with ozone, sulphur, or selenium.
