Following admn. of a 0.1% soln. of thiouracil to male rats for a 600-day period, 25% of the animals developed changes in the thyroid glands which exhibited histological characteristics similar to that found in struma lymphomatosa. The testes of these rats also showed a failure of germ cell development and maturation and considerable lymphoid infiltration could be demonstrated.
