Bilateral Ductus Arteriosus Associated with Interruption of the Aortic Arch

Abstract
Observation in a newborn infant of bilateral ductus arteriosus associated with interruption of the aortic arch is reported. The right ductus arteriosus gave rise to the right subclavian artery. The left ductus arteriosus was continuous with the descending aorta. The ascending aorta terminated by dividing into the 2 common carotid arteries. The feature of bilateral ductus arteriosus represents persistence in the entirety of each 6th aortic arch of the embryo.
