Inhibition of Experimental Neoplasms by 4-Aminopyrazolo(3,4-d)Pyrimidine.

Abstract
4-aminopyrazolo (3,4-d) pyrimidine (an isomer of adenine), and the 1-methyl derivative of this compound both significantly inhibit the growth of adenocarcinoma 755 in mice. The former compound significantly increases the life span of mice with L1210 or L5178 leukemia. These compounds represent a new class of purine analogs with significant anticancer activity.
