Abstract

Nanosized CdS-sensitized TiO₂ nanocrystals were successfully prepared by a microemulsion-mediated solvothermal method. The effectiveness of the new photocatalyst was demonstrated by the decomposition of an organic compound and the formation of Ti³⁺ on TiO₂ under visible-light irradiation.
