Abstract
Activity in single neuronal units of the hippocampus was recorded with glass microelectrodes. Units responding to specific types of afferent stimulation (visual, auditory, tactile) as well as units responding to many sensory modalites were seen. The correlation of unit discharges with the slow wave activity of the rabbit hippocampus is discussed. Keywords
