Abstract
After removal of the lateral eyes and the whole pineal complex, electrophysiological responses to photic stimuli where still recorded from the diencephalon and mesencephalon of frogs. Sustained nervous discharge occurred in response to a white light stimulus while no activity was recorded in the dark.Keywords
