Abstract
Intraperitoneal injection of 5, 10 and 15 mg of MgSO4 in 1 cc of water, 512 minutes prior to exposure of mice to a LD74 of X-rays produced a statistically significant reduction in mortality at the 15 mg level. This was attributed, in part, to a fall body temperature and a reduced metabolic rate. Keywords
