Abstract
Photographs, taken from 10,000 ft. alt. with a 7 in. lens, giving a scale of 3 3/4 in. per mi., were checked by visits to areas covered and appearance of prints and vegetation and soil types correlated. Nearly 3000 sq. mi. were covered in 3 months. Eight types and 25 subtypes were distinguished and the boundaries indicated on maps. Notes on soil and vegetation of each type are included.
