Abstract
In continuance of former work, values of intensity are given of the lines hydrogen and helium D 3 for various regions of 21 prominences. Results appear to confirm previous observations in the sense that variations in the relative intensity of and D 3 can be explained as curve of growth effects. In particular cases variations of excitation appear as systematic deviations from the theoretical curve of growth. The observations are in agreement with a curve of growth for a temperature of 5000° as temperature of the solar boundary.
