Fibrin Adhesives in Surgery of the Renal Parenchyma

Abstract
The use of a biological adhesive system for tissue adhesion and local hemostasis consisting of highly concentrated human fibrinogen, thrombin and factor XIII is reported. The first clinical experience in surgery of the renal parenchyma, operative technique and results of 46 cases (9 nephrotomies, 31 renal partial kidney resections, 6 renal ruptures) are discussed.
