Abstract
This experiment was designed to study the effect of green plant extract on the frequency of cell types in the anterior pituitary of male Microtus montanus. Wheat was sprouted on moist paper towels, extracted and added to the diet of the experimental group. The control group received a similar diet but without the extract. After 10 days the animals were sacrificed and the pituitaries removed. Testes were also removed and weighed. A 41% increase in gonadotroph frequency was observed in the anterior pituitary of the experimental group. Keywords
