Gestalt theory, insight, and past experience: Reply to Dominowski.

Abstract
Addresses 4 issues raised by R. L. Dominowski (see record 1982-02561-001) in his comments on the present authors' (see record 1982-02568-001) article. For example, evidence is presented that the present authors' characterization of Gestalt theory is the view accepted by present-day psychologists and is also the view espoused by the Gestalt psychologists themselves. Results from the present authors' earlier paper tend to demonstrate the importance of past experience in solving several problems as well as provide negative evidence for several aspects of Gestalt theory.
