Long-Wavelength Optical Phonons inGa1xInxP

Abstract
We report the results of a study, by infrared and Raman spectroscopy, of the long-wavelength (q0) optical phonons in the alloy system Ga1xInxP. We find one-mode behavior in this diatomic alloy system. Fine structure is also observed and is attributed to disorder-induced one-phonon processes involving shorter-wavelength phonons.
