Abstract
A two-band, Hartree-Fock model of an antiferromagnetic metal is constructed. It exhibits a first-order phase transition at the Néel temperature, an antiferromagnetic vector which is incommensurable with the lattice and varies slightly with temperature and interaction strength, a nonvanishing energy gap at the Néel temperature, a linear relationship between energy gap and Néel temperature, and a heat of transformation which varies quadratically with the Néel temperature.
