New tertiary phosphine palladium hydride complexes

Abstract

A new route to the palladium hydride complexes, trans-(R¹ ₃P)₂2PdHCl, R¹= cyclohexyl or isopropyl, is described involving use¹ of a hydridoborohydride complex, trans-(R¹ ₃P)₂MH(BH₄), M = Ni or Pd, as a reducing agent and a tertiary phosphine ligands exchange reaction.
