Abstract
A new class of magnetic filters-magnetic cage filters (MCFs)-was designed and constructed. These filters were studied theoretically and experimentally as far as the capture and retention of fine particles of crud is concerned. High values of capture efficiency and retention capacity were obtained, making the MCFs well suited as passive magnetic filters for power station applications. Keywords
