pp¯Annihilations into Two Mesons within a Broken InhomogeneousŨ(12)Symmetry Scheme

Abstract

A $\tilde{U}\mathrm{}\left(12\right)\mathrm{}$ generalization of the charge-conjugation operator is constructed. It is then found that only one amplitude is charge-conjugate invariant for the annihilation process of proton-antiproton into two mesons. Branching ratios and sum rules are presented explicitly for annihilations from ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}S_1^{}{}_{}{}^{}$ and ${}_{}{}^1{}_{}{}^{}S_0^{}{}_{}{}^{}$ states.
