The Summer Daytime Meteor Streams of 1949 and 1950: II. Measurement of the Velocities

Abstract
This paper describes the measurements of the velocities of the summer daytime meteor streams using the radio echo diffraction technique. The observations were made simultaneously with the radiant determinations described in Part I of this series of papers. Mean geocentric velocities of the o -Cetid, Arietid, ζ -Perseid and β -Taurid meteor streams have been determined, and it is shown that there is a considerable spread in the velocities of the individual meteors belonging to each shower.
