Abstract
Hematoxyphil bodies, both in appearance and staining characteristics resembling those seen in the kidney of the patient with systemic lupus erythematosus, have been produced in experimental animals. Kidneys examined from 15 minutes to 4 hours following intra-aortic injection of LE cells and LE bodies have exhibited these Feulgen-positive bodies in the glomerular capillaries. Control injections have been completely negative.
