Abstract
Extremely accurate determinations of the linear thermal expansions have been made interferometrically from room temperature to the temperature of liquid nitrogen for Mo, Pd, Ag, Ta, W, Pt, and Pb. Comparisons are made with the Grueneisen theory.Keywords
