Co-Thromboplastin, a Probable Factor in Coagulation of Blood

Abstract
Co-thromboplastin, a factor having the property of increasing the activity of thromboplastin and correcting the deficiency in the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin caused by dicumarol, is readily prepd. by adsorbing aged serum with a small amt. of Ca phosphate and eluting with Na citrate. Such eluates uniformly show high co-thromboplastin activity and low protein content, and in high dilutions are inactivated by glass surfaces.
