The Treatment of Bacterial Endocarditis

Abstract

Present management of patients with bacterial endocarditis at Johns Hopkins Hospital, with dosage schedules is noted. The administration of large amounts of bactericidal agents for prolonged periods is effective. Only by so doing can patients be saved who might otherwise be lost through employment of more conservative programs.
