Abstract
We have derived a mathematical model (Altman and Coles, 1980) that matches closely the birth weight standards derived from the large Aberdeen survey (Thomson et al, 1968). From this, we have drawn nomograms that can be used to assess an infant's position in relation to these standards. The nomograms are easy to use and give adequate precision. Keywords
