Abstract
Primary calcifying pancreatitis is associated with alcoholism and increased consumption of fat and protein. Excretion of Na and Cl in sweat was significantly high. Changes are patchy and related to plugging of minute ducts; cysts are frequent. Acute and acute recurrent pancreatitis are often associated with gallstones. Acute pancreatitis rarely progresses towards the chronic form. Pathologic findings in each type are described in detail. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
