Direct observation of dissipative flux motion and pinning by twin boundaries in YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-δ} single crystals

Abstract

We present the first direct observation of Lorentz-force-induced dissipative flux motion and the effect of twin boundaries as pinning centers in a single crystal of ${\mathrm{YBa}}_2$ ${\mathrm{Cu}}_3$ ${\mathrm{O}}_{7\mathrm{-}\mathrm{\delta }}$ with twin planes oriented in a single direction.
