Abstract
The temperature dependence of ESR spectra of VO2+ions has been studied in the incommensurate phase of K2SeO4crystal. The line shape with asymmetric edge-singularities was analysed in terms of an incommensurate spatial modulation of the hyperfine tensor. By using the plane wave modulation model, a very good fit between the experimental and theoretical line shapes was obtained in the temperature range fromTIto ≃TC+10 K. The temperature dependence of the amplitude of the incommensurate modulation reveals that the index β for the amplitude is 0.48±0.05 in this temperature range.
