Abstract
Optical absorption and ESR spectra of metallic Na‐doped (CH)x are reported. The results indicate chemical n‐type doping with no free sodium metal in the film. Analysis of the data leads to estimates of the conductivity (σ?3×103 Ω−1 cm−1) and susceptibility (χp?1.6×10−6 emu/mol). The results imply that the metallic state in doped (CH)x is very similar for both p‐ and n‐type dopant species. Keywords
