Problems and mistakes in statistical analysis

Abstract

This paper considers, a series of prohibits in the application of standard statistical methods in other sciencest which frequently lead to misunderstandings and mistakes. Some of the fallacious, methods described involve unsolved problems. The paper was written in the hope that teachers of statistical methods will more commonly point out to their students some of the-less well known limitations of elementary statistical arguments.
