Abstract
Measurements of the maximum Josephson current with temperature for Nb−NbOx−Pb junctions differ from the BCS Ambegaokar−Baratoff curve. This cannot be explained in terms of strong coupling effects. A possible explanation might be proximity effect of a normal layer on the niobium surface.Keywords
